GREAT NEWS FROM INFINITI

Paul Ray and Roy O’Connor have been appointed as independent, non-executive directors of Infiniti Insurance Limited.  Both individuals have had long and successful careers in the insurance industry and bring a wealth of experience and talent to the Infiniti Insurance board of directors.  Paul and Roy join Clive Hirschsohn (Chairman) and Darron West as independent directors.
Paul Ray entered the reinsurance industry in 1974 and in 2004 established African Reinsurance Corporation SA Limited.  Paul has been MD of African Re since its establishment, a position from which he retired at the end of June 2011.  He is a fellow of the Insurance Institute of South African and Chartered Insurance Institute, London and was past President of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng and Vice President of the Insurance Institute of South Africa.
Roy O’Connor recently retired after 21 years with Munich Reinsurance, where he was a member of executive management accountable to the CEO.  Roy remains a director of Munich Mauritius Reinsurance Company. He is a fellow of the Insurance Institute of South African and Chartered Insurance Institute, London and was past President of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng.

INSURANCE UNDERWRITER'S REMARKABLE CONTRIBUTION TO TOURISM

We are thrilled by the heading of an article that has appeared in several tourism publications and that is being used by interest groups in the B&B and guesthouse industry as well as some brokers who have sent it to their B&B clients.

We invite you to read the article in which This Tourism Week says we are putting some R2.7m (conservatively) into the industry at a time when it is reportedly struggling.

Find the article on

Bear in mind that for every ONE guest for ONE night booked through http://www.bnbfinder.co.za/ (and our new .mobi site) over R300 goes onto the guesthouse bottom line – and that’s a lot higher than a small premium saving.
We have had over 50,000 visitors to http://www.bnbfinder.co.za/ so far this year so any policyholder (and no cost to our policyholders to be listed) on that website gets the best policy in the South African insurance market plus a potential booking and income and our site is ranked very high on search engines. If not then 50,000 visitors would not have found it.

GOING GREEN

BnB SURE is fully committed to the environment and as readers will know we are dramatically cutting down on the use of paper as we join the rest of the world and go electronic and paperless.
Our tree planting on Heritage Day was a huge success and as a result 14 old age homes around the country have additional trees to enjoy and hopefully when those trees grow they will add that little extra bit of oxygen for us all and for our children and grandchildren.

SECURITY ONE OF THE REASONS FOR GOING PAPERLESS

Apart from the obvious reasons such as it being easier to work with electronic documents than paper ones, apart from the fact that they are easier to file in electronic format than in paper and very much quicker (and cheaper) to get electronic documents to the recipient there is another reason.
One of the main reasons for the paperless route is for security of policyholders’ information. Whilst we appreciate nothing is completely safe we feel that documents containing personal information such as name, address, phone numbers and details of what a person owns (as well as cars) should not be making its way around manual postal systems.
