Yet another Indaba is behind us and yet another successful visit to Africa's biggest tourism expo. As we always do at INDABA, we went in search of people whose products or services will benefit our policyholders and we were delighted to have found several with whom we are now working on projects and news of these will be available in the next few months.
The other event where BnB SURE has an involvement and has had for several years now as one of the sponsors was the AA Travel Guides Awards evening and we were delighted that many of our policyholders were amongst the winners and finalists and our congratulations go out to them.
We are also now just a touch over a year from the start of World Cup 2010 and we can confidently expect the excitement to grow as we get closer and closer but before that we have the Confederations Cup starting this month and we have just had the very successful IPL Cricket put together at the last minute. In a recent article Adam Gilchrist a UK radio correspondent was quoted as saying "Why don't they give EVERYTHING to South Africa". As long as we are able to continue showing the world that we can, the world will bring stuff here so let's all join forces to make sure South Africa is the best it can be.
AND INTRODUCING.......BROKER ASSIST
There is little doubt that BnB SURE is the most comprehensive policy for the B&B and guesthouse industry in the South African insurance market with more value add features than any other.
One of the problems we have found is that many of the features of the policy and of what we call "More Than just Insurance" are not always remembered by brokers in their busy schedules and they are not able to explain to policyholders that correctly used, BnB SURE not only gives them the most comprehensive policy but in all likelihood the least expensive and for this reason we have introduced "BROKER ASSIST", both in hard copy and on our website.
The purpose of BROKER ASSIST is to give our broking friends the assistance they need, in order to really know our policy. In hard copy it has just 9 pages and a laminated cover that makes it easy to carry in a brief case and durable if used often without being a long and tedious document to which to refer. On our website more detail can be found to assist and this includes the ECN (Electronic Claims Notification) as well as documents such as the Needs Analysis which is a FAIS requirement and specially designed for BnB SURE.
The other very big PLUS to a broker is the access to our claims records through the internet in order that they might check the status of claims at any time.
One of the things the hard copy version contains is the details of "More than Just Insurance" with particular focus on ways that the insured can save a great deal of money by having BnB SURE but without having to settle for an inferior product to do so.
BnB FIND-A-CAR should be of particular interest to our policyholders because by asking two simple questions to their guests they will be providing an extra service for the guest PLUS they could, in certain circumstances, earn more from doing this than their monthly premium.

OUR NEW LOOK WEBSITE
We are thrilled with the way our new website is looking as we introduce our new "look and feel" and return to the grapefruit that has been an integral part of our branding for many years. The difference now is that instead of us just serving the grapefruit we have grown our policy to "the full breakfast". We have tried for make the website as user friendly as possible with things like our "ECN" (Electronic Claims Notification) on the home page making it much easier for brokers to advise us of a claim and much easier for us to respond a lot faster and get things going a lot quicker as we will have all the information we require to get claims under way. In addition we have the new look BnB SURE Club site and we bring into that site all the numerous benefits to our policyholders. Used correctly this site can save the insured a great deal of money as there are all sorts of discounted goods available. There is more to come on the site so watch it carefully.
BnB FINDER WEBSITE
The second of our websites to change is www.bnbfinder.co.za one of the facilities that an insured can use is where a guest needs a hired car. By clicking on the "car hire" button alongside their entry on the site the insured can hire a car for a guest and get paid commission and we already have clients who have had commissions paid back to them where their guests have hired a car through the site. In addition, BnB Finder Travel is now up and running and policyholders could find themselves receiving guests through Q2 Travel who have organized this facility for us. The unique feature of BnB Finder and in fact unique in South Africa is the Seal of Insurance that will allow travelers' to see that their chosen establishment has the correct liability cover.
BnB SURE TELEPHONE NUMBER
Our new centralized telephone number is now operating for all our branches so instead of calling the old number for each branch, please call 0861 BnB-SURE (0861 262-7873) from 1 March and you will find Rachel answering that. She will be able to connect you to any person in any of our branches in the country.
ELECTRONIC POLICY WORDING
Our new electronic policy wording has been received with enthusiasm by many people who are "thinking Green" and who are concerned about the environment and of course who don't want piles of paper lying around. Please advise us if you require an electronic policy wording instead of the hard copy which for policyholders is a lot easier to store and can have a simple icon on their computer for immediate access to the document.
